Climate Registry for the Assessment of Vulnerability (CRAVe)

Find existing vulnerability assessments by geographic area, assessment target, sponsoring agency, and other factors. Registered users can also enter basic information about a vulnerability assessment, enabling colleagues, partners, and others to learn and benefit from their work.

The Climate Registry for the Assessment of Vulnerability, or CRAVe, is a community resource that houses information on assessments of the vulnerability of various natural and human resources to a changing climate. CRAVe is a joint project administered by the U.S. Geological Survey's National Climate Change and Wildlife Science Center (NCCWSC) and EcoAdapt.

Users can search for vulnerability assessments for specific geographic regions, assessment targets or endpoints, managing entity, and other factors. Registered users can also enter information about their vulnerability assessments.

CRAVe will succeed to the extent practitioners enter data on their assessments. The project administrators ask users to help build capacity and knowledge in the adaptation community by entering their own vulnerability assessment data. Data provided on CRAVe will be published on both the NCCWSC website and EcoAdapt’s Climate Adaptation Knowledge Exchange, and will be publicly accessible.
